Minneapolis data center opened by Cologix

A Minneapolis data center created by Cologix recently opened. Located at 511 1th Avenue, this facility is a unique, enterprise-grade facility convenient to downtown Minneapolis.

"The enterprises we talk to that are evaluating moving to a colocation model are looking for three things: 1) high reliability infrastructure, 2) proximity to their IT staff, and 3) the ability to future proof their investment with access to numerous network and cloud services with zero switching costs," said Cologix's chief executive officer, Grant van Rooyen.

The first phase of this data center includes N 1 cooling infrastructure, a 2N uninterruptible power supply and generator infrastructure and will be joined quickly by Phase II, which will utilize the base infrastructure in Phase I. The Minneapolis data center, called Min 3, is Cologix's 21st data center in North America.

Cologix has over 850 business customers for its various data center solutions, with 350 networks and easy to access local support.
