Telecom service providers, data center users and colocation providers all rely on data centers and continuous uptime of 24 x 7 x 365. While the uptime goal is the same, data center design approaches are numerous and multiplying. Many new firms have self-taught “experts” holding the reigns to millions of dollars of long-term investment capital.
At WiredRE, we advocate for a standards-based approach to the design, construction and management of data centers. A certification from a standards body can reassure stakeholders of some minimum performance. The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has licensed its content to facilitate certified training courses that addresses installation, maintenance and architectural considerations for mission cricital data center design, construction, and operations management.
