Amsterdam Data Center Launched by Eleven2

In early August, hosting service provider Eleven2 announced the launch of its new Amsterdam data center to support its growing footprint in Europe.

The company did considerable research before choosing the Amsterdam location, as they sought a data center site that would provide best-in-class security and proximity to the region’s connectivity resources. The facility boasts access to the linx exchange in London, as well as connections to several bandwidth providers like Telia and Zayo.

In addition, the Eleven2 Amsterdam data center achieved a number of certifications for data center sustainability and security, including LEED Gold, ISO 27001 and documentation of their compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. The facility also achieved Sas70 certification after passing a comprehensive audit of the data center’s control policies.

The Amsterdam data center will provide the full range of Eleven2’s services, including its virtual private servers. The virtual platform includes fully managed resources, cPanel, WHM and acceleron caching technology on the servers’ SSD drives. Clients benefit from daily backups of all VPS data. The specific location of the facility also enables customers to select a U.S. or Europe site for their VPS hosting services.

In addition to the new Amsterdam facility, the company operates a Houston data center, a London data center and a Singapore data center, boasting more than 100,000 servers across the locations.
