365 Data Centers Now Offering Micro-Colocation Solutions

Colocation services provider 365 Data Centers is now providing micro-colocation solutions to customers that only need a few racks in a data center. The company's new Colo by the 'U' service allows customers to purchase smaller amounts of space in the data center, starting around 1.75 inches of rack space.

The company is rolling this service out to its 15 U.S. data centers, which include a New York data center, Chicago data center and San Jose data center, among others.

365 Data Centers hopes this Colo by the 'U' solution will provide answers for small and mid-sized businesses that wouldn't need a large amount of data center real estate to begin with.

"Many of our clients looking for micro-colocation opportunities are simply getting their feet wet in the colocation world, creating the possibility for future expansion to larger deployments," said Keao Caindec, the chief commercial officer of 365 Data Centers.

Micro-colocation has gained popularity in recent years, with companies like Schneider Electric also joining the market with micro data center solutions.
