Jeffrey Gyzen, Principal, Gyzen & Associates

Mr. Gyzen has been a Principal with Gyzen & Associates since he founded the firm more than two decades ago in 1986. Having been involved with the design of over 200 critical facilities throughout the US, Europe, Middle East, Pacific Rim, Central America and Australia, Mr. Gyzen is acknowledged as an expert in critical facilities and data center design. As a primary contributing author, Mr. Gyzen was actively involved in the establishment of the ANSI/CSA/EIA/TIA-942 Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers, an official US and Canadian standard for data center infrastructure acknowledged by ANSI (American National Standards Institute), CSA (Canadian Standards Association), EIA (Electronics Industries Alliance), and the TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association). Mr. Gyzen’s experience includes full-service architectural design, programming and planning, space planning, schematic or conceptual design, design development, codes/standards research, construction documents, CAD documentation, seismic studies and analyses, value engineering, and construction management. He is currently maintaining active architectural registrations in 14 states.

Robert J. Joyce, Principal, Joyce Law Group

Robert J. Joyce has practiced business and transactional law for more than 30 years in Colorado and California. Mr. Joyce provides transactional legal services in connection with real estate, infrastructure and community development, project finance, business structures and strategic acquisitions, including energy, real estate and commercial development.

Peter Offringa, VP, Engineering, Zoosk

Peter Offringa is Vice President of Engineering Zoosk. Â Prior to joining Zoosk, Mr. Offringa was Vice President for the Tech and News business unit within CBS Interactive, responsible for software engineering, web development, site operations and quality assurance for the highly trafficked sites of CBSNews.com, CNET.com, Download.com, News.com, Shopper.com and CNET Reviews. Collectively, these sites deliver national news, technology product reviews, shopping services and software downloads to over 4 million people a day. As part of his role, Peter addressed the architecture, feature delivery and maintainability of the sites, as well as developing technologies to support content management, search, community features, data ingestion, video delivery, personalization, syndication and SEO. Prior to his work at CBSi, Peter was the CTO of Vehix.com, a leading automotive web site. As CTO, Peter led software development, product management, quality assurance and network operations. Before joining Vehix, Peter was VP of Engineering at OneMediaPlace and held leadership roles at several other internet start-ups in the areas of online auctions and consulting services. Peter also served four years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in computer science.

Andrew Rigoli, Vice President, Corporate Finance & Development, Equinix

Andrew Rigoli currently serves as Director of Finance at Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ symbol: EQIX) Andy has been involved in defining the company’s growth strategy and in financing numerous commercial real estate acquisitions primarily in the technology sector. His responsibilities at Equinix include financing, underwriting and supervision of the company’s real estate acquisitions, consolidations and repositioning of outdated data centers. Portfolio oversight includes proactive management of capital expenditures for projects and space in excess of 1.3M sq. ft. in Silicon Valley, Northern Virginia and Chicago. Leadership responsibilities include approximately $200M of debt placement (on $400M in projects) from various funding sources, long term debt placement from REITs, facilitating sale-leaseback transactions, etc. Prior to joining Equinix, Andy was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Salomon Smith Barney’s Investment Banking Division in New York and Palo Alto where he played key roles in numerous financings and strategic projects for clients including buy-side and sale-side transactions for public and private companies, debt, equity and convertible debt capital raises.
