IO Modular Lands Cloud Hosting Firm for New York Data Center

Cloud infrastructure provider Ajubeo recently announced that it will utilize FORTRUST and IO.Anywhere modular data centers as part of a planned expansion of its New York metro area cloud hub. Boulder-based Ajubeo delivers compliant hosting solutions to enterprises. It will continue to work with data center and colocation services provider FORTRUST, also based in Colorado, in its northeast development.

FORTRUST was the initial participant in the Powered by IO initiative and the company utilizes IO modular data centers on the ground in its colocation expansion. As part of the deal, Ajubeo will be deploying these modular data centers in Edison, N.J.

“The combination of strong demand for Ajubeo high-performance cloud infrastructure as a service and new data center financing from Grey Mountain Partners made this an ideal time to expand our Northeast cloud hub footprint,” stated Tom Whitcomb, co-founder of Ajubeo. “We selected FORTRUST and IO.Anywhere(R) for its unparalleled energy efficiency when supporting high-density colocation environments such as Ajubeo cloud computing. Additionally, the new modular data center will increase operational efficiency and reinforce our layered cloud security model with multiple new access denial features.”

Histories of Join Excellence
The relationship between FORTRUST and Ajubeo goes back to the latter company’s inception, starting with data centers in the Denver market. Ajubeo credited the colocation provider as instrumental to its 100 percent cloud uptime record. Every FORTRUST facility, including modular data centers, is recognized by the Uptime Institute with Tier III design certificates for concurrently maintainable systems. Ajubeo’s offerings run the gamut of cloud colocation options, including public, private, hybrid and enterprise clouds, as well as virtual private servers, disaster recovery and infrastructure as a service. FORTRUST senior vice president David Shepard cited Ajubeo’s continued selection of his company as proof that prioritizing customer loyalty positively impacts expansion opportunities in the increasingly competitive data center market.

“IO.Anywhere(R) was built for companies like Ajubeo who demand maximum uptime, scalability and security,” Shepard stated. “IO.Anywhere can handle increased per rack densities, and provide intelligent data center design that enables expedited cloud hub commissioning and data center expansion. We were able to provide this optimum solution in a standardized deployment across states to expedite Ajubeo’s growth.”

FORTRUST became the first entrant in the Powered by IO program in June 2012. Through its Data Center as a Service platform, IO has increased the visibility and reputation of modular data centers over the last few years. Besides its Colorado and New York data center locations, FORTRUST also utilizes IO.Anywhere modules in the IO-operated Phoenix campus.
